The Lancashire County Council have made this Order under Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1967, as amended and by Section 1 of the Heavy Commercial Vehicles (Controls and Regulations) Act, 1973, the effect of which is that no person shall cause any heavy commercial vehicle the maximum gross weight of which (as defined in the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 1981) exceeds 7.5 tonnes and has an unladen weight exceeding 3.05 tonnes, to proceed, except for certain exemptions which are set out in the Order, on any of the roads within the Bashall Zone, the boundaries of which are specified in the Schedule to this Notice. A copy of the Order and Plan showing the lengths of road affected may be inspected at the following locations during normal office hours: (a) Ribble Valley Borough Council, Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe.
