Stone, the sales manager, entered the company through the same door — apprentice motor mechanic—in 1943, and. Mr K. Widdup, the service manager, was also an. apprentice mechanic when he “joined up” in 1957. Other senior em ployees include Mr. Brian Stewart, the workshop controller, who joined the company as an apprentice way back in 1954. Four years earlier than that, Mr Raymond Codd, senior receptionist, put in his first week with the firm. These six people alone
