A PROPOSAL, to . use .a house in Holden Street, Clitheroe, for the religi­ ous education of ■••Muslim children has been turned down by the Ribble Valley Council’s Develop­ ment Sub-Committee.. '

comment on the plan at Thursday’s meeting, but in his report, Borough Planning and Technical Officer Mr Philip Bailey said the increase in traffic brought by such a centre would be detrimental to the amenities of people in a wholly residential area.
