Regrets that bus fares must rise
COUNCILLORS have re commended a 10 per cent increase in bus fares in the Ribble Valley from Sunday. The. Ribble. Valley
Council’s Planning and Transportation Committee was asked to approve one of two alternative prop osed increases by Ribble Motors — one of 12V£ per cent which would . prob ably permit the bus com pany to break even, or that of 10 per cent, which would reduce the com pany’s anticipated deficits by about 90 per cent. Members “regretfully”
would be required to . give two; hours: of their time! every. four to six weeks serving meals ; cooked'--at Clitheroe hospital.: The Langho and Billington duties entail' giving one and a half hours once a month. Meals in this case are cooked at Brockhall Hospital. .■'•■Anyone' in te r e s te d should. contact Mrs. Sadie Baker • (Tel. Clitheroe 25863) .for'- information about the Glitheroe duties and, Mrs
