money mount up over a pe r iod — and that has certamly been the case for members of Clayton-le-Dale W I , w h o h a v e b e e n contributing half-pennies to a ch a r ity fund at each monthly meeting over the past year. ,

£85.50 — more than 170,000 half-pennies. And at the group’s annual Ghristmas p a r ty , attended b y 70 members, a cheque for the money was presented to the secretary of the Arthritis and Rheumatism Research C ou n c i l , Mrs J o c e ly n Haworth. The presentation was
