Arlinda Furtado To Boost European Growth A UK process filter manufacturer has appointed a top oil and gas business expert to support its reach into the European downstream petrochemicals sector.
She began her career as a Process Engineer at an international EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contractor, rising to lead business development in support of a series of major global refining and petrochemical projects.
Surrey-headquartered Amazon Filters has tasked Arlinda Furtado with delivering a targeted international sales strategy to accelerate growth.
Based in Lisbon, Portugal, Arlinda is a Business Development Manager with a master’s degree and more than 17 years’ experience in chemical, petrochemical and refining activities.
A key focus for her has been to understand industrial applications, technical specifications, standards and regulatory requirements.
For the sales team at Amazon Filters, Arlinda will work closely with colleagues, distributors, resale partners and customers to increase the 41-year-old company’s market reach.
Arlinda said: “I look forward to helping our customers continue to derive value from filtration solutions and technologies that promote sustainable growth, operational excellence and long term value in downstream applications.”

Arlinda’s appointment comes amid a period of fast growth for Europe’s £1.3 billion refinery and petrochemical filtration sector.
It is projected to reach £5 billion by 2030, accounting for around a quarter of the global market, second only to North America.
Growth is being driven by stricter European emission controls and industrial safety standards that effectively mandate high-purity filtration.
As well as appointing Arlinda, Amazon Filters is preparing to exhibit filtration solutions for the oil and gas industries at a series of global industry events this year.
The first event Arlinda plans to attend is Petrochemical and Refining Congress Europe, being held in Amsterdam in May.
Amazon Filters will also be represented at the Sabah Oil, Gas & Energy Conference & Exhibition in Borneo at the end of June.
Attention then turns to Oil and Gas Asia in Kuala Lumpur in September and OGET (Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Technology) in Thailand in October.
