Drinks News Rooster’s Pride

• 35 ml Rooster Rojo Reposado Tequila • 45 ml Clarified Coconut Tincture (homemade)

• 80 ml Cinzano Prosecco Serve in a flute.

Mantas Zlatkus, Global Brand Director of Rooster Rojo Tequila, commented: “We are thrilled to be working with this creative, imaginative, and highly professional bartender and to name him as our Brand Champion. Rooster Rojo, available in five expressions, is an authentic Mexican, hand-crafted tequila. We launched a campaign called SIP DON’T SLAM and Andrew’s approach to selecting fine tequilas and treating these liquids with respect accords perfectly with our own ethos.”

Other Rooster Rojo Fans

Rooster Rojo has a global fanbase amongst bar professionals. It is truly the bartenders’ tequila and has followers within the trade around the world. Here, just a few of the many Rooster Rojo aficionados share their thoughts.

Deniss Trifanovs, World Flair Bartending Champion, Italy

“The bottle shape is perfect”

Rooster Rojo is admired by Deniss Trifanovs from Rome in Italy, the World Flair Bartending Champion, and multi-international competitions awards winner. Watching him in action is astonishing and his gymnastic style makes him a star behind the bar.

Deniss Trifanovs said: “The Rooster Rojo bottle shape is perfect for flair behind the bar as well as on professional flair competitions. The long neck of the bottle makes it much more comfortable for different grabs and pours; the weight of the bottle makes it perfect for balance and for stalls; and the thickness of the glass

Marcin Zachara, General Manager of The Jam Factory in Hereford, England, loves Rooster Rojo so much that they use the brand in five cocktails that feature on the menu.

Marcin Zachara said: “When it comes to selecting a tequila for a cocktail, it must be an authentic, beautifully crafted liquid and fit with our mission and customer base. We strive to serve edgy and fun, yet simple, drinks at The Jam Factory and that’s why we choose Rooster. Its smooth taste and complex notes are what makes it the bartenders’ tequila. It’s these taste notes that make our many Rooster Rojo cocktails the most popular at our venue. We stock the whole range and especially love the Smoked Pineapple: it’s so smooth and drinkable neat, there’s just nothing else like it.”

One of the most popular serves is the ‘Where’s My Mind’ cocktail which uses Rooster Rojo Anejo combined with Strawberry CBD oil, Lemon juice, Grapefruit shrub, fresh Strawberries, and fresh Mango.

makes it almost impossible to break. So, if I need to choose a working flair bottle when entering a competition, Rooster Rojo Tequila would be one of my first choices.” instagram.com/deniss_trifanovs

Tito Karipidis, Vezene Group, Greece

“Clean and strong”

Another keen advocate of the benefits of pouring Rooster Rojo is Tito Karipidis, the Bar Manager at the Vezene Group in Athens, Greece. He particularly admires the complex taste notes of the Reposado expression.

Tito Karipidis says: “I prefer to use Rooster Rojo Reposado in a variation of my tequila based Old Fashioned due to the notes of vanilla and caramel which balance the spicy character of nutmeg and roasted agave. The result is a clean and strong cocktail both in aroma and flavour that does not necessarily require other flavorings such as bitters.”
