A legacy that stays in Herefordshire

Every pound raised in Herefordshire is directed back into Herefordshire. This is what that looks like.

Thanks to funding from George's Fund, children have the opportunity to spend time out of the classroom at Longtown Outdoor Learning. These sessions provide extra support for children who may be anxious or facing other challenges at school, including SEND and those that are young carers, in care or experiencing bereavement or family illness.

Grants like this don't happen by accident. They happen because someone — a family, a business, an individual with a deep connection to this county — decided that Herefordshire's future was worth backing personally.

Herefordshire Community Foundation (HCF) exists to connect that generosity with the people and places that need it most. We know the market towns and the isolated villages, the organisations doing quiet, vital work, and the gaps that rarely make the headlines. That knowledge shapes every grant we make.

For those with the means to give significantly, there's a further step: a named fund, set up during life or through a gift in a will, that can carry a family's name and support the causes they care about — in perpetuity. We manage everything on the donor's behalf, so their attention stays on the difference being made, not the mechanics of making it.

To talk in confidence about a gift in your will or setting up a named fund, contact Herefordshire Community Foundation.

"We are not a charity asking for support — we are a trusted partner enabling purposeful, lasting generosity."

A Herefordshire where local generosity funds local need — now and for generations to come.
