For the ladies particularly, jewellery is always a popular choice and in our region we are blessed with some really fabulous jewellery shops where it’s easy to spoil your other half. – so check out those jewellery boxes and see if there are any classic pieces missing to make her collection complete. And as love is traditionally associated with the colour red, that’s the colour of our retail therapy section this month too with all sorts of items featured, all coloured red from pillar box to crimson.

Dining out is always a treat but if you fancy a cosy night in celebrating instead then some culinary inspiration might be needed. This month we have some fabulous, flavoursome recipes from cookery writer Flora Shedden’s latest book, Supper. The only problem is one of you has to do the washing up!
Although the year has only just begun, you may be thinking about little breaks away now – after all, apart from Valentine’s Day it can be a rather gloomy time of year. This month we take a look at a few staycation locations and holidays ideas, from storm watching in Cornwall to whale-watching on a boat in the Outer Hebrides but if all that sounds too energetic, there’s also a cosy rural retreat here in the Cotswolds too.
And finally, our celebrity interview this month is with the charismatic musician and actress Janelle Monáe, star of the latest Knives Out movie Glass Onion. If you’ve not seen it yet, it’s well worth a watch – but not very romantic!
