PTSG divisions join forces at Oxburgh Hall


Two divisions from Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) have worked together to deliver a new lightning protection system at 500-year-old Oxburgh Hall in Norfolk.


Despite its fortified appearance, the moated Oxburgh Hall in Norfolk was intentionally built as a family home. It was completed in 1482 for Sir Edmund Bedingfeld and the Bedingfelds have lived here ever since, surviving Civil War, periods of near dereliction and, in the 20th century, the threat of demolition.


The hall has been listed Grade I on the National Heritage List for England since 1951. This is the highest level of designation. The landscaped and formal gardens of the hall have been Grade II listed on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens since 1987.


Engineers from PTSG Building Access Specialists Ltd lent their rope access expertise to their colleagues in PTSG Electrical Services Ltd, enabling them to effectively install a new lightning protection system at the historic residence.


PTSG has great experience in working at historic structures such as Oxburgh Hall. Their engineers have intricate knowledge of how to install hardware in the fabric of buildings so as not to compromise their historic integrity in any way.
