Empowering passengers with an autonomous, worldwide experience
With the global Covid-19 crisis gradually winding down, and traveller numbers rapidly returning to pre-pandemic figures, the air travel industry is facing new challenges brought about by crippling staff shortages. This has increased the drive for automation and simplification, bringing companies like eezeetags to the fore thanks to their international partnerships and simple bag tagging solutions.
to get back abroad has also started – reassuring the industry that there is still a massive desire amongst the jet-setting public to travel to new climes, explore new places, reconnect with friends and family and to resume doing face-to-face business transactions after a tumultuous and bizarre two years. OAG reported in April 2022 that international travel numbers are edging closer and closer to pre-pandemic levels last seen in 2019. During the pandemic, a substantial proportion of flying personnel, as well as operational passenger service and ground handling staff, left the industry and have, by now, found new career paths. As a result, the airport and international travel industry is now facing challenges from substantial staff shortages that are reflected in news headlines regarding cancelled flights (and therefore holidays), extreme queues and mass strikes due to an extremely high workload for the remaining staff.

journey is not only inevitable, but it is becoming a business necessity. This was a trend that had already started pre- Covid but has now been accelerated. Even during the last months of travel restrictions, major airports have been pushing forward their investments in self-service check-in and bag drop installations that were taking up to 90% of the capacity of counter operations, with the goal of making them more resilient to non-versatile and inflexible fixed costs and, in the meantime, taking steps to increasing capacity.
Welcome to the family To accommodate for the expected exponential growth of self-service bag drop and self-tagging initiatives, eezeetags has created ‘the eezeetags family’ – a unique cooperation between the world’s leading bag tagging manufacturers who, under license and strict quality controls to ensure only the highest standards, make use of eezetags’ patented raw materials and their production technologies.

products much closer to the markets they serve. In this way, production capacity is scaled up to an unimaginable level, to the tune of hundreds of millions of eezeetags annually. By not having a single production location, a risk mitigation strategy is in place and enables sustainable local distribution, which are just some of the additional benefits to this scheme. The European market will be served by Security Label out of Hannover, Germany, who will also handle production; the Middle East, Indian subcontinent and East Africa will be advised by Kimoha Entrepreneurs who are based out of Dubai, UAE, where the products are also produced; and North American clients
