IVD’s: Transforming Patient Pathways

IVDs (in vitro diagnostics) are the tests used to diagnose, monitor and manage health.

BIVDA represents the majority of IVD manufacturers and distributors in the UK to politicians, policymakers, the NHS, media and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the voice of its membership is heard loud and clear.

We also work to increase the adoption of IVDs within the NHS and access to early diagnosis. BIVDA engages with the NHS, NICE, MHRA, Government and Parliament about the key challenges and opportunities facing the industry.

Through joint working and forming partnerships with our stakeholders, BIVDA works to ensure that IVDs can play their part not just in the diagnosis of conditions, but in prevention and treatment of disease too. Using these close working relationships, the organisation brings about policy changes for members, solves problems and takes up issues with those individual bodies critical to the success of the IVD sector.
