MORGAN

The Bilbao collection marks Morgan’s second collaboration with industrial designer Tim Rundle. Tim and Morgan Studio sought to create a chair with a solid, yet sensuous presence, fully upholstered and planted on the ground. The tub chair has an integrated swivel mechanism and offers a generous and inviting aesthetic in a relatively small footprint. Through its luxurious soft forms, Bilbao evokes a retreat-like atmosphere in commercial spaces. morganfurniture.co.uk

TORMAX

TORMAX recently installed a fully automatic, curved-sliding entrance pod to the Grade A ofice facility, Granite House, in Leicestershire. TORMAX recommended this modern take on the traditional revolving door as a highly practical option that offers easy access whilst helping maintain an ambient internal temperature. At busy times, the double set of curved bi-parting sliding doors can be programmed to open in tandem, creating an opening space up to 40% greater than offered by linear sliding doors. When foot trafic is light, or in poor weather, the doors can work independently, reducing heat loss from the building. tormax.co.uk

TORMAX THONET

Thonet’s S 220 range of chairs by Industrial Facility has an new addition: the S 220 H barstool. A contemporary take on moulded plywood, the range transfers the familiar lines of the 214 bentwood chair into a material-eficient, versatile seat with an ergonomic shell and lightweight tubular steel frame. The barstool is ideal for higher level seating, with just the right amount of give. A smoothly rounded front edge avoids pressure points, while a footrest adds to the comfort. thonet.de/en

The Travelodge Kendal in Cumbria benefits from a smart set of automatic sliding entrance doors that work in tandem to create a welcoming reception area, easily accessed by all guests. TORMAX partnered with Coupe Aluminium to design an accessible reception area, recommending their Windrive 2201 sliding door operator as the perfect option to power the bi-parting doors. Operational in high-trafic hubs around the world, the TORMAX Windrive is a compact and discrete operator with a deserved reputation for steadfast reliability, and has undergone extensive testing that far surpasses current industry requirements. tormax.co.uk
