LOUIS DE POORTERE Inspired by the aerial topography of the world’s most famous cities, Louis De Poortere’s designers have created the Cities collection, a series of five designs in the Ecorugs collection of recyclable rugs. In Conductive Blue, Gatsby Gold, Green Meadows, Space Trip and Orange Cut, homes can echo the vibrant cultures and unique sense of place that make the cities of Tokyo, New York, London, Paris and Amsterdam top global destinations. Each rug brings the atmosphere of an old map, faintly charting the flow of rivers and urbanisation in beautiful colour-rich patterns. Available in a range of standard sizes, all rugs are made with 20% recycled polyester and feature an anti-slip backing. louisdepoortere.com

PARKSIDE MAPEI

A Mapei resilient floor system has been used to complete an installation in Newcastle University’s Stephenson Building. The surface project formed part of a £68.75m transformation of the original 1950s building into a modern hub for engineering research, education and knowledge exchange. The Mapei specification provided a fast, safe installation and featured solvent- free, low-odour formulations designed for high-trafic environments. The installation was completed by KJB Flooring for main contractor Bowmer + Kirkland. Flooring designs specified included Desso carpet tiles from Tarkett, Altro Orchestra cushioned flooring and Forbo Surestep safety flooring. mapei.co.uk

The Pronto Luxury Vinyl Tiles flooring range from Parkside Architectural Tiles features authentic wood and stone designs, including herringbone, terrazzo, concrete and marble. The range is designed to offer fast installation with integrated underlay and proven click systems, including DreamClick for multiple laying combinations, and is available in commercial specifications, including 36+ PTV, and residential use specifications. Pronto’s 100% waterproof Tough Core Technology gives this LVT floor a rigid construction that combines with the integrated underlay to accommodate different subfloor conditions. parkside.co.uk

RIVIERA HOME

Known for fine-quality natural carpets, Riviera Home is growing its collection of handmade wool carpets for 2024 with three new styles inspired by the beauty and history of Italy, which use texture and yarn to create a unique sense of luxury. Siena is a flat-weave textured carpet that uses 100% undyed wool. To create the stunning texture, Riviera Home’s skilful master weavers intertwine contrasting undyed yarns. In three elegant colourways, every Siena carpet is a testament to the art of handcrafting and the natural beauty of undyed wool. Sharing similar Wilton textured weaves, Genoa and Turin show how wool yarns can be used to create captivating and luxurious contemporary designs. rivierahomeuk.com
