Arcus by LD Seating Introduced at Orgatec, this swivel chair is designed by Austrian Martin Ballendat. ‘It’s distinct arc (“arcus”) became its essential feature in the very first sketch and it was to merge into the organically designed netting frame,’ Ballendat explained. The connection of both arcs – in the rear as well as side view – forms a harmonised shape of the chair, as well as being comfortable to use.

AERO313 luminaire by FUTURE Designs and BDG architecture + design This product is an enormous light fixture, reminiscent of a 1955 Ford Thunderbird steering wheel. The luminaire, measuring 2,235mm in diameter, had to incorporate a number of practical requirements such as sprinklers and smoke detectors. Its laser-cut sections fit to form a seamless LED circle, wrapped in a stretch ceiling acoustic shroud.

collaboration with American design studio BassamFellows, Stellar Works’ unveiled Pagoda, a collection of chairs inspired by the simplicity of the café chairs of mid-19th century Vienna and the café culture of 1920s Shanghai. The structure of Pagoda’s compact design has been reduced to its essence that is easy to ship and assemble, consisting of only six components.
