CIFM/Interzum Guangzhou exhibition 2024 has theme of “Surpass”

The CIFM/Interzum Guangzhou fair has a motto of “Surpass” for the exhibition this spring. CIFM/interzum Guangzhou, a leading event for the Asian furniture manufacturing sector, is scheduled to be held this year from March 28-31 at the Canton Fair Complex. It attracts the world’s leading players in wood processing, furniture production
and interior design. Organisers say the reason for the new motto is based on companies needing to rethink their strategy if they want to remain competitive, grow and take a leading position in the dynamic, changing market of the furniture industry. “They need to rethink old patterns, reposition themselves and overcome boundaries in the process,”

Biele Group founders Julián Lazkano and Tomás Letamendia have received a Korta Business Achievement Award. The award for business career achievement 2023 was presented at an event chaired by Spain economic development adviser Arantxa Tapia.

Established global brands in the surface materials industry, including Schattdecor, Rehau, impress, Interprint (IP), LamiGraf, Renolit and Munksjö will offer comprehensive solutions to meet different sourcing requirements. The American Hardwood Export Council and American Softwoods will demonstrate their expertise in the wood industry. SCM, Paolino Bacci, Biesse, Homag, Leitz and Freud are among the leading woodworking machinery manufacturers participating.
CIFM/Interzum Guangzhou 2024 will cover an area of 160,000m2
, hosting over 1,200
exhibitors from around the world. The event will be held concurrently with Phase II of the China International Furniture Fair (CIFF), which focuses on office and business furnishings and is expected to attract more than 150,000 trade visitors. Interzum Guangzhou 2024 strengthens its ties with the European woodworking machinery sector through an exclusive partnership with the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers (EUMABOIS). EUMABOIS has integrated the show into its global network and will actively support Interzum Guangzhou in the further development of the format in the future.
Lukas Langer takes over as CFO at Dieffenbacher
Following a long- planned succession plan, German machine and plant manufacturer Dieffenbacher has changed the responsibilities and composition of its management board effective January 1, 2024.
With the appointment of Dieffenbacher shareholder Lukas Langer to the
management team, it will grow from three to four members.
Lukas Langer takes over as chief financial officer from Volker Kitzelmann, who will continue as a member of the Dieffenbacher management board. The responsibilities of CEO Christian Dieffenbacher and CTO Lothar Fischer remain unchanged.
SICAM 2023 in Pordenone “convinces again”
The 14th edition of SICAM, held in Pordenone from October 17-20, ended with a response “beyond the best expectations”, according to show organisers.
More than 650 exhibitors from Italy and 34 foreign countries were recorded at
the show, which focuses on components and accessories for the furniture industry. Around 9,000 companies / 20,000 attendees were recorded in the four opening days from 112 countries, and 10 halls covered 18,420m2 display space.
