FIRST GMK3060L-1 CRANES IN EGYPT


The first 60 tonne Grove GMK3060L-1 all- terrain cranes in Egypt have been delivered by Manitowoc. They will be used at a major refinery project in northeastern Cairo where they are playing a key role in constructing essential refining infrastructure, including the installation of oil pumps and pipelines. Manitowoc has also delivered a number of 30 tonne RT530E-2 rough-terrain cranes to a separate customer in Egypt. The rough terrains will be used on a large


agricultural initiative in Upper Egypt to convert arid land into productive farmland. The cranes are lifting water pumps and pivot irrigation systems. Both orders were delivered via

Manitowoc’s regional partner, Orascom Services. In addition to supplying the equipment Orascom Services will provide localised training, technical assistance, and aftersales support.
