TRADE ASSOCIATION NEWS USA ALM launches turnkey linen awareness programme

Debuting, hot off the mark on opening day of The Clean Show 2025, was the Association of Linen Management (ALM) trade-marked LinenCARE programme, a ready-made, behaviour-focused training resource for healthcare facilities, commercial laundries, and textile suppliers to strengthen linen management across the industry. LinenCARE will be available for preview at ALM Booth #2759.

The programme is designed for hospitals and healthcare systems seeking immediate impact without the heavy lift of building a programme from scratch. Packed with micro-learning videos, ready-to-use posters, linen handling guide, trivia challenges, and a manager’s playbook, LinenCARE equips facilities to

launch a professional-grade linen awareness campaign in under a week. But LinenCARE goes further than awareness. It drives linen action, turning knowledge into consistent habits at the point of use. The result? Engaged frontline teams, reduced linen waste, improved handling, and textiles that remain high-quality from cart to patient, according to ALM.

UK Hospital linen managers’ forum in October

The Society of Hospital Linen Service and Laundry Managers (SHLSLM) much anticipated annual forum, taking place on Wednesday, 15 and Thursday, 16 October at the Parkway Hotel & Spa, Cwmbran, South Wales. For professionals across the hospital linen and laundry service sector – from managers and procurement leads to suppliers and innovators – the event offers the ultimate platform to connect, collaborate, and stay ahead in a fast- evolving industry, offering two days of insight, innovation and networking. A slew of industry experts are scheduled to present papers from procurement and preventative maintenance to sustainability, circularity, and decarbonisation. “Whether you’re looking to navigate new procurement frameworks, explore sustainable innovations, or simply connect with peers across the industry, this event is a must- attend for anyone involved in hospital linen and laundry services,” said SHLSLM.

“Join us in shaping the future of hospital linen services. Become a member. Book your place. Be part of the conversation.” Spaces are limited and demand is high, so early booking is essential. Please email your interest to Ross Weir: membershipsecretary@ textilemanager.co.uk

Anna Pangbourne – chief executive of the Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust (FTCT) will be speaking at this year’s SHLSLM conference, sharing details of how the association’s donations to FTCT since 2023 have supported the Trust’s work in subsequent years. Over the past five years, FTCT has awarded over £33,000 in grants to families working in the textile care sector. These grants support workers facing challenges such as relationship breakdown, long-term illness, housing instability, and caring responsibilities, ensuring their children have what they need to thrive at school and at home.
