FORD EXTENDS E-TRANSIT RANGE

It has a maximum payload of 1,350kg, says B-ON, and will go on sale in the UK in the first quarter of 2025.
B-ON also presented its load
dispenser system, which is designed to save time and effort when loading and unloading packages from a delivery van. Using GPS technology and a rotating set of shelves, B-ON says the unit automatically presents the driver with the correct package corresponding to the location of the van. B–ON’s smart dispenser is available as an optional add-on for Pelkan or as a standalone offering for a third-party vehicle. Completing the display was B-ON’s EES second-life battery storage unit.

The first Canoos are likely to appear on UK roads in 2025, Ethridge says.

The medium-sized Transit Custom is now available with the choice of electric, plug-in hybrid and diesel technology. “We’re looking for electric to account for 20% of sales, hybrid 15%, and for the remainder to be diesels,” Dean said. The compact electric Transit Courier will appear in early 2025. The 1.0-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel models are available to order now. Differentiating Courier from Transit Connect is likely to be a challenge given that they are so close in size. As a consequence, there will be more of a stress on long-wheelbase Connect in a bid to widen the gap, says Dean, and the latter will be sold in plug-in-hybrid, but not pure electric, guise.
