t’s been a busy summer and there’s a lot happening over the next few months too.
UCA-NI continues to support pharmacies with the new Foundation Training Year and the uptake of pharmacy services through our NI Pharmacy Brunch on Wednesday 1st October.
We were delighted to see so many of you attending the Pharmacy Brunch event in the Crowne Plaza Hotel. It was fully booked well in advance and we hope to bring more, similar, events to you in 2026. There will be another opportunity soon for business networking at the next NI Pharmacy Show on Wednesday 28th January back in the Crowne Plaza, Belfast.

Here’s a roundup of some of work UCA is doing in support of pharmacies.
VACCINATION TRAINING
UCA-NI partners Coastal Core Ltd provide new and refresher training in advance of the autumn and spring vaccination service rollouts each year.
In September and October in addition to an online refresher session, we delivered 4 sessions offering full training for new or returning vaccinators and in-person refresher training which focussed mainly on a refresh of the
BLS/Anaphylaxis training. As part of the service specifications, in-person refresher training is required periodically and is recommended at least every 3 years from the initial training.
The next vaccination training will take place in advance of a Spring service rollout.
