RCD Incomer Consumer Unit
Tailored for smaller, focused installations. This unit’s main RCD acts as both the incomer and isolator, making it ideal for secondary installations. With local RCD protection built-in, only MCBs are needed for outgoing circuit overload protection.
However earth leakage should be considered when installing these types of enclosures as all circuits will run through one Residual Current Device (RCD).
Dual RCD Consumer Unit
The perfect blend of versatility and value. This unit starts with a main switch that powers two separate RCD devices, each supplying multiple individual circuits. With built-in RCD protection, circuits are protected by MCB's to handle current overload and short circuit. Optional surge protection boosts its safety profile, and high-integrity configurations ensure critical devices remain unprotected by the RCDs when needed.
Best For: Larger setups with multiple circuits, especially when budget matters. However earth leakage needs to be considered as multiple circuits will be taken through one of the two RCD devices.
