Delivering training to the next generation of Met Police recruits


Babcock in partnership with the Metropolitan Police Service is recruiting Police Lecturers to deliver training for the following two new Police Constable entry routes, as part of the national Police Educational Qualifi cation Framework (PEQF) set by the College of Policing:


i) 3-year Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) ii) 2-year Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP)


You will require up to date operational policing experience as well as experience in teaching or training.


In return, you will receive a salary up to £45,000 rising to £47,500 once the fellowship is attained, a generous benefi ts package, and fl exible working options.

Chief Probation Offi cer

Guernsey is the second largest of the Channel Islands, covering an area of 30 square miles with a population of around 65,000. It has some of Britain’s fi nest and best- kept beaches, an especially mild and sunny climate, and the historic town of St. Peter Port which is regarded as one of the prettiest harbour towns in Europe. The island also received international acclaim for its excellent handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.


The Chief Probation Offi cer is responsible for the leadership, organisation, supervision and continual improvement of the Guernsey Probation Service to ensure that a high standard is achieved to meet the needs


of the Court and the Community of Guernsey. They are responsible to the Committee for Home Aff airs for the administration of Probation matters.


The Chief Probation Offi cer is also responsible for the eff ective management of off enders in the Bailiwick, to ensure the public are protected by eff ective assessment, supervision and monitoring of known off enders, including the management of high-risk off enders through the Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements, and the Community Service Scheme. They are a subject specialist in Criminal Justice and the links with Social Policy across the States of Guernsey.
