Donors Support New Turf at Dickson Field
Thanks to generous donors, a new playing surface at Dickson Field will continue to strengthen our legacy of athletic excellence. The field’s turf was replaced during the summer of 2024, when crews installed more than 100,000 square feet of FieldTurf, a heavyweight state-of-the-art playing surface. Dickson Field is home to Queens soccer, lacrosse and rugby teams.

A portion of the replacement was funded by Queens Board of Trustees members Adelaide Anderson Davis ’61 and Audean H. Godehn ’97.
“I have had two grandsons who went to Queens, and they both played sports,” Davis said. "I admired their coaches and the athletic director very much. I think that athletics is good for Queens because it can build school spirit with teams that students can support and cheer for.”
