ROMAN TAXIS NEWPORT BECOMES THE FIRST FIRM IN WALES TO ACHIEVE ISO QUALITY CERTIFICATION
Roman Taxis has broken new ground by becoming the first PH firm in Wales to earn the prestigious ISO 9001:2015 certification. Run by

Clayton and Dale Clayton, the firm achieved the internationally recog- nised standard after having its management processes indep- endently assessed. The global framework focuses on maintaining high accountability,
delivering
consistent service, meeting customer expectations and driving
continuous improvement. Ryan Milton, general manager at Roman Taxis Ltd, said: “Achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification is a hugely proud moment for everyone
at Roman Taxis. We wanted to put in place a recognised framework that would challenge us to continually improve and ensure that quality remains at the heart of our operation. “Becoming the first firm in Wales to achieve this certification is a significant achievement. Our focus now is on building on these standards and continuing to deliver a service our customers and corporate partners can have complete confidence in.”
HARRISONS TAXIS, MARKET HARBOROUGH WINS REGIONAL AWARD
Private hire and taxi firm, Harrisons Taxis, has triumphed at a regional awards ceremony. Operating across West Northants and the surrounding area, Harrisons Taxis was named Taxi Business of the Year for the East Midlands following a public vote in the My Local Awards programme.
Jaan G Saqlain, MD of Doncaster PHfirm Absolute Cabs, has received the prestig- ious “Farzand e Pakistan” (Son of Pakistan) award at a London ceremony. Saqlain dedicated the honour to Julie Kay, who recently passed away at 57 following a battle with motor neurone disease (MND).

Saqlain said: “Julie and I worked very hard opening the Absolute Cabs office in Doncaster in 2013. This award is for her. Absolute Cabs has grown from five cars at its 2013 launch to a fleet of over 200 vehicles under Saqlain’s leadership. The international award celebrates high-achieving Pakistanis living overseas and their contributions abroad.
Founded in April 2024 with a modest team of just two drivers, the company has experienced rapid expansion. The business now operates three offices, serving customers in Market Harborough, Wellingborough & Northampton. General manager Adam Smith shared his pride in the achievement, stating: “We were absolutely over the moon. To win Taxi Business of the Year 2026 just over two years after starting with only two drivers was a very proud and emotional moment for the whole team, particularly knowing how many challenges we had overcome along the way.” He added: “More than anything, it felt like recognition for every member of staff, every driver and every customer who believed in Harrisons and helped us get to where we are today.” The firm credits its community- focused ethos for a lot of its success.
