With features such as Messenger chatbots available, being able to keep an entire conversion process from enquiry to confirmation within Facebook is a huge step forward and simplifies the customer journey even further – and as we all know, the simpler the process the more bookings we will see.

Our second big prediction for 2021 is the continued and developing partnership between businesses and fleets to help carry out deliveries. Both the hospitality and taxi/private hire industries have been hit incredibly hard by the COVID-19 restrictions. Simply put, restaurants, takeaways and more won’t look to recruit their own drivers if they have a base of cars already available in the local area.
What began as a necessity due to COVID will blossom into long-term relationships that benefit both fleet and the outlet – customers who use certain takeaways will be exposed to the fleet and vice versa, driving new interest and income to both.
How does this link into social? Well, you need to showcase exactly who you are working with and what you can offer! By advertising regularly that you are open to doing deliveries and collaborating with local businesses, new partnership opportunities will appear. Furthermore, by generating this discussion on social, your community will be able to use their favourite cab service to get their favourite items delivered, all while keeping the revenue and custom within the local area!
OUR FINAL PREDICTION
For 2021 is the rise of shopping and making purchases directly through social. Instagram and Facebook have already rolled this out for certain industries in 2020 to astounding success, and we see a huge focus on diversifying this platform to include more industries, products and services over the next 12 months.
