Dragon Equipment takes fl ight with CR300 Crusher
DRAGON Equipment has entered the DIY, plant hire, small builder and landscaping markets with the launch of its new CR300 concrete crusher. The machine itself is easy to use, durable, compact, lightweight, efficient and incredibly good at crushing concrete!
The crusher’s abrasive resistant jaws and unique (patent-pending) crushing mechanism effortlessly crushes up to six tons of concrete an hour, a productivity comparable to much larger machines.
“The company was started about 18 months ago by a chap called Jeff Haines,” explained Laura Anderson. “Formerly a partner and technical director at one of the leading wood chipping manufacturers in Europe, he recognised there is a big push for companies and products to reduce emissions and recycle. He wanted to build that into the design philosophy of Dragon from the start.”
The CR300’s compact design and proportional track control provides excellent maneuverability and site accessibility.
Its 700mm width provides access through standard doorways and around tight corners. The machine’s compact design means it is easy to get on-site, saving both the cost, labour and emissions involved in having material transported away to be crushed.
Powered by the new Vanguard 400, 14HP petrol engine that operates with extended service intervals (double industry standard) and includes both an integrated cyclonic air filtration and Vanguard’s patented TransportGuard system. The machine is fuel efficient and ideal for arduous working environments.
For ease of transport the CR300 will fit in the back of most medium and large vans, small trailers and 4x4 bucks, plus with a weight
less than 700kg, it is under most payload limits too.
In summary the CR300 is a highly productive and durable concrete crusher, that’s easy to use, fits in tight spaces, utilises the latest engine technology, is easily transported and provides a low cost of ownership.
The Dragon Equipment CR300 had its debut at the Saltex Show in Birmingham in October 2019 as part of the Briggs and Stratton stand. “People were drawn to the crusher because it really stands out as something a bit different” explained Laura.
“We had the engine experts on hand if anyone had any specific questions. A lot of people just wanted to know more, asking questions and also giving constructive feedback. We took away three of four suggestions for developments and improvements that we’ve since made to the machine.
“Because the machine has been designed, developed and built in the UK in our Suffolk workshop, it means that we can be really reactive to any customer feedback.”
The CR300 Crusher will also be on display at the Executive Hire Show 2020 in February.
