ISSUE 168 January 2020

by Richard Hollis, Editor

WELCOME to a whole new year – and a whole new decade – in which our industry will doubtless become more critical than ever before.

It’s traditional at this time of year to look back on the year gone by, but in this case there is a particular reason for doing so; I have now been at the helm of this magazine for a full year.

In that time, I have very greatly enjoyed getting to know the professionals, the characters and the businesses, big and small, that make up this fascinating sector. Where there’s muck, there might be brass, but there’s also a lot of hard grafters as well.

I hope you have enjoyed the way the magazine has evolved throughout 2019. I have been overwhelmed by the support and good feeling this publication generates – it’s an honour to keep our sector informed – and, hopefully, entertained.

And for 2020? Be assured we have some big plans in the pipeline, but we’re going to stay coy for just a little longer.

Have a happy and prosperous 2020 and, as ever, please enjoy the magazine and don’t forget to follow us on social media – we always love hearing from you.

Richard H.
