ENVA expands in Scotland and Northern Ireland


ENVA, one of the UK’s leading providers of recycling and resource recovery solutions, has announced plans to double the capacity of its Newbridge recycling facility near Edinburgh.


The £1m investment in processing equipment and site infrastructure will support Enva in continuing to grow its presence in Scotland’s capital city and the surrounding areas. It will also ensure the company is able to optimise the environmental and commercial value of the material it collects in the region.


Following completion of the works in early 2020, the facility will be capable of processing and recovering materials from a wide range of waste streams including construction, commercial, and municipal materials with the potential to operate 24 hours a day 365 days a year.


Commenting on the expansion, Enva’s managing director, Barry Coughlan, added: “This investment in recycling infrastructure demonstrates our commitment to the continued expansion


of our business in and around Edinburgh. “Providing customers with access to our latest recycling facility, we will ensure that they continue to receive a commercially and environmentally sustainable service for years to come.”


The development will also include an expansion of the site’s material storage areas and additional parking to support the expansion in the company’s fl eet.


The news comes hot on the heels of the company’s acquisition of All-Brite NI Ltd for an undisclosed sum.


All-Brite is a long-established provider of drainage and environmental services off ering a comprehensive range of drainage solutions, including CCTV surveys, jetting, 24/7 emergency response, pipe and drain testing and pipeline relining and repairs to a wide range of sectors in Northern Ireland.
