THE START OF A LONG TRADITION Duke of Westminster, 1988


Te first Annual Lunch was held on 30 November 1988 and hosted at the Hyde Park Hotel – a tradition that the WPA still continues to this day. Tat year’s keynote speaker was Major General Gerald Grosvenor, the 6th Duke of Westminster. In the speech he discussed the unique nature of the City of Westminster and welcomed the establishment of the Association as an opportunity for collective dialogue with the City Council. Te Duke of Westminster began the tradition of the WPA Annual Lunch being renowned for its esteemed keynote speakers that are able to impart insight, wit and wisdom.
