Exeter Quayside 41
“just 10 minutes from the City Centre”
Exeter's Historic Quayside is one of the most attractive areas of the city, popular with locals and visitors alike for its fascinating history, interesting architecture and lively pubs and restaurants. It is just a 10 minute walk, or short bus ride, from the city centre.
Exeter’s wealth from the woollen cloth trade, which reached its peak in the mid- 18th century, is evident in the historic buildings found here. Now home to an eclectic mix of retailers selling everything from antiques, home furnishings and beautifully crafted jewellery, to local crafts, the quayside also boasts some fantastic cafes, restaurants and bars, all enjoying a riverside setting.
The Quayside is a hub of activity, from well-signposted walking and cycling trails to the south-west’s largest indoor climbing wall. Exciting events are held here all year round, including a monthly evening street food market (May-September).
