WHEN UB’S GRoW Home (Garden, Relax or Work) captured the silver at the 2015 Solar Decathlon (edging out Clemson, UC Davis, and 11 other research and tech standouts), it was a victory shared by hundreds of UB students, faculty and alumni.


The Challenge: Design and build a comfortable, affordable, hyperefficient dwelling. The objectives were ambitious and the competition fierce.


The Result: An ultramodern take on sustainable living. Team UB succeeded with boundless tenacity and collaboration.
