It gives me great pleasure to announce the 10th anniversary of our Parks After Dark (PAD) program. PAD started with only three parks, and since then, it has grown to 33 parks as of last summer. PAD has enabled thousands of community members to participate in quality programming throughout the warm months of summer. During the 2017 Summer Season of PAD, in partnership with the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, the STEAM program was introduced. The goal of the program was to engage children in interactive learning through science, technology, engineering, art, and math. I hope you join us in the many celebrations and special programming that will be offered this summer to celebrate 10-years of Family, Fun, and Fitness!
