Leveraging Goodwill | ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

> The MTC 2017 commencement marked the beginning of a new tradition. For the first time in the college’s history, MTC awarded honorary associate degrees in humane letters to outstanding friends of the college Lou Kennedy and Rev. Solomon Jackson Jr. The designation humane letters is used to recognize recipients’ service to their community, philanthropy, and achievements beneficial to their fellow citizens and the higher education community.

JAKE TYLER Associate in Arts and Associate in Science “I loved my MTC

experience. I got to serve my country,

and I got to be a really good student. You

really can get anywhere from MTC.”

> MTC Alumni supported the mission of the MTC Foundation by helping build meaningful relationships with donors that led to gifts in support of MTC and its students. Forty percent of the MTC Foundation Board of Directors are Midlands Technical College Alumni.

> Members of the MTC Alumni Association comprise 23% of MTC’s Legacy Society. Inspired by a tradition of generosity, the Legacy Society honors a dedicated group of alumni and friends of Midlands Technical College who have chosen to include Midlands Technical College in their estate plans or any other planned gift arrangement.
