Event. Te event follows the “long format” that was standard between 1971 and the 2004 Athens Olympics, when the current format was in- troduced. Te main difference between the classic format and the cur- rent three-day-event format is that “endurance day” in a classic includes a roads-and-tracks phase and a steeplechase test, as well as the current


cross-country phase. Te Classic has a special educational focus, includ- ing educational seminars and demonstrations on proper horse inspection technique, cross country course walks, steeplechase practice session, con- ditioning and fitness seminars, and more.
