above all in terms of data analysis, which needs to be addressed across the globe, at all levels. Secondly in a very similar and complementary vein, though perhaps at a more “visionary” or lateral thinking level, there would appear to be a renewed opportunity to reinvent how we work, our many knowledge networks and the way we work, and how we learn, in a similar vein to the revolution that Henry Ford’s assembly line brought to the manufacturing sector. Two key issues which will need very careful
and painstaking consideration as regulatory bodies look to fashion a legal operating paradigm for AI deployment are:
a) ensuring that AI does not become a ‘black box’ (i.e. opaque), but rather a ‘glass box’ (i.e. transparent), which facilitates accessibility for all and equitable distribution, and

b) balancing that against security considerations, above all the need to protect against ‘bad actors’ and what can be termed ‘adverse outcomes’. The need for critical and lateral thinking, for genuine debate, both in respect of regulation and ethical guidelines, will be critical, as well as a need to constantly monitor and assess the environmental costs.
