OUTLOOK FOR 2018


Major stock index futures finished 2017 with their best performance since 2013. And following the record gains from last year, S&P 500, Dow Jones, NASDAQ and Russell 2000 futures continued to advance in January as another new round of historical highs were registered.


 the record gains from last year, S&P 500, Dow Jones, NASDAQ and Russell 2000 futures continued to advance in January as another new round of historical highs were registered. Much of the strength was linked to a variety of factors, including the strengthening global economy, solid corporate earnings and increasing risk-on sentiment among investors and,  most important reason for these historic gains, which trumps all others, is the still relatively low global interest rate environment that has been the main fuel for this bull market.


Some of the credit can also be given to the bullish on balance economic reports, which  billion in November from the prior month. A gain of $18 billion was expected.
