SAMPLE SAFETY BRIEFING - (SINGLE OVERWING EXIT)
“Hello and welcome aboard, my name is ________, I would like to take a moment to review the safety features of this ________________ aircraft.
Please take a moment to review the Passenger Safety Information Card. You may note the location of safety equipment, exits and review the bracing position for your seating area. Also, please comply with all PLACARDS, LIGHTED SIGNS and CREW INSTRUCTIONS while aboard the aircraft.
S Smoking is not allowed on this aircraft. Additionally, smoking is never permitted in the lavatory, or when the NO SMOKING SIGN is illuminated.

Smoking is allowed on this aircraft. You may not smoke while we are still on the ground, during taxi, takeoff, descent and landing or when the NO SMOKING SIGN is illuminated during flight. Additionally, smoking is never permitted in the lavatory.
U To use your SEATBELT, insert the metal fitting into the buckle. To tighten, pull on the loose end of the strap. To release lift up on the buckle.
If your seat has a SHOULDER HARNESS. Reach behind and pull the harness over your chest and fasten to the belt button. Pull the strap to tighten. To open, release the shoulder harness and push in on the release button.
Please ensure that your seatbelt is fastened during taxi, takeoff, landing and anytime the Pilot in Command has the Seatbelt Sign illuminated.
E The primary EXIT is located forward, through the main cabin door. To open: Main Cabin Door:
Pull up on the large handle located to the right of the door and push the door open. Exit down the stairs.
Window Exits: There is one emergency EXIT located over the right side wing. To open, remove the decorative cover, pull up on the handle, grasp the top and bottom of the exit and lift the window in and roll onto the seat in cabin. Exit leg, body, leg.
S (Brief if the SURVIVAL EQUIPMENT is located outside of the raft compartment.) The survival equipment is located in a yellow pouch, under the divan.
D (For extended over water flights - DITCHING)
Your LIFEVEST is located under your seat. To put your life vest on, tear open the pouch and remove the vest. Pull the vest over your head and wrap the strap around your waist. Fasten the strap and tighten to fit snugly around your waist.
To inflate, pull down on the red inflation tabs. To orally inflate, blow into the tubes at shoulder level. Only inflate AFTER exiting the airplane.
The RAFTS are located under the Divan. If the aircraft is in the water, move the raft to the overwing exit. Secure the raft’s mooring line to the aircraft and open the window exit. Throw the raft out and pull on the mooring line to inflate the raft.
O If there is a loss of cabin pressure during the flight, OXYGEN masks will appear from the compartment overhead. Quickly pull down on the mask. This will start the flow of oxygen. Secure and tighten the mask over your nose and mouth then assist
children or anyone needing assistance.
Fire EXTINGUISHERS are located _______ and the flight deck. To operate: first remove the extinguisher by releasing the clasp. Pull the pin, aim and discharge toward the base of the fire in a sweeping motion. SEATBACKS should be upright and TABLES should be stowed in the locked position for takeoff and landing.
PED:
You may use your small, lightweight devices such as mobile phones, tablets and e-readers while the aircraft is parked. Once the aircraft is moving all devices must be placed into “airplane mode”.
Larger devices such as laptops and DVD players may be used until we are ready to depart. At that time, they must be stowed. Note: If necessary, brief passengers requiring additional assistance.
