Playground Markings One of the easiest ways to brighten up a dull playground is with some colourful markings. Fun & Active Playgrounds uses non-toxic thermoplastic which can last up to ten years longer than traditional paint, as well as being weather- proof and anti-slip, to create vibrant, long-lasting playground designs. Either let the team design bespoke graphics for your school, or choose from a wide range of patterns and designs – the fun, large-scale skeleton boasts differently coloured bones labelled in a key to inspire visual learners. All Fun & Active expert installers are DBS checked and markings come with a four-year warranty. The team can also remove worn and older markings, even ones supplied by other providers. ‘Fun & Active Playgrounds were very helpful – both through the design phase of the project but also when planning for the installation. We are very happy with our designs and believe the company offers a value for money service.’ Fran Worby, headteacher, Hadley Wood Primary School

coding challenges. Cardboard coding blocks are placed on the board, a little like a jigsaw puzzle, with four types of blocks; command, function, trigger and control. Once the blocks are in place, players then use the app to scan the code which the image recognition system reads and executes. The app then scores players on their effectiveness. The kit contains 179 programming blocks, an app licence code for up to three devices, background board and Scottie Go! manual. Helping to develop important analytical, logical thinking as well as team-working skills, the kit comes with full lesson scenarios for KS1 and KS2.
