North Coast DAY 1
-Skunk train through the Redwood Forest -Explore Mendocino village and Pennyroyal Farm
Ride on the world-famous Skunk Train, which runs through the redwood forest. The historic village of Mendocino offers a New England style seaside village along the rugged California Coast, which is great to explore on foot. Your next stop should be Pennyroyal Farm, which offers a unique glimpse into the rural life of Mendocino county before you make your way to Hopland for some wine tasting at the Saracina cave tour.

-Drive Thru Tree Park -Lost Coast Brewery Tour
In Eureka Humboldt you must visit the Drive-Thru Tree Park; a piece of paradise in Northern California where you can drive your car through a Giant Sequoia tree. The Founders’ Grove is the most-visited grove in Humboldt Redwoods and a major North Coast redwood attraction, a truly exceptional site. In the afternoon visit the award winning Lost Coast Brewery for a tour of their facilities and to sample some of their beers.

-Redwood National Park -Patrick’s Point St Park – Sumeg Village
Visit the Redwood National Park and try one of the most popular walks, The Lady Bird Johnson Grove nature trail, for some spectacular scenery and a great view of the Redwoods. At Patrick’s Point State park visit the reconstructed Yurok village, built using traditional materials and in the unique old-style of a permanent village. Next, it’s on to Seascape Restaurant, which has been a favourite dining spot with travellers, fishermen and locals since the 1950’s.
