And Figuring Out Which One That Is Exactly | By Zach Kerns STADIUMS:

year and be the envy of your neighbors. This pitch was award winning - STMA Field of the year three times running. Why did we tear

it out when we were getting great results? To set the bar just a little higher. We needed to re-sod a larger area than usual, due to a tough tran-

sition from winter to spring in Georgia and were presented with an opportunity. SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE… UNLESS IT’S A SPRINT:

All races were not created equal. Long distance running is all about strategy and patience. It’s the epitome of the tortoise and the hare. You have to know your ability and your endurance to be able to perform to your highest level. How many races have we seen that one racer goes out at a pace that cannot be sustained and winds up near the back of the pack? Too many to count in my book. Contrast that patience with the explosive 100-meter dash. An all-out sprint that is done within seconds. The slightest hesitation could cost you the race, which makes waiting in the starting blocks on the gun one    technique with the bar you’ve set. DON’T BE AFRAID OF FINDING A NEW BAR:

To a 17-year-old, a javelin is simply a giant lawn dart that is just calling your name. Who doesn’t want to spin in a circle and throw a heavy Frisbee (discuss) as far as you can? Anyone who knows me could assume that high jump wasn’t my specialty; however, a big blue foam mat is way too enticing to not jump on. The triple jump is a hop, skip, and a jump into a big sandbox, why not give that a try? Each time I did one of these things, I now had a “bar” that could     - self to evaluate your “bars,” be ready to compete in areas you never thought you would.  
