elcome to all the WWA members and everyone involved in the Welding
Industry. I hope you will enjoy this first publication of Welding World magazine for 2025. Talking with the industry the general
feeling has been one of an upturn in sales enquires for welding machines and the orders being released. There is a need to keep the production lines welding and producing quality welds to meet the high demand in our quality driven welding industry. Therefore, you must be kept up to date with advancing process driven welding equipment of today. Not only in the manual welding but with the ever-growing welding by Cobots. The Welding World magazine
and Welding World Association is in touch with the industry. A good reason to join the Association and come along to our Network meetings. Join in and meet the industry. Don’t be left behind. The focus on Welding Skill levels is being
met by the introduction of high-quality Training Establishments throughout the UK. This is also focused in this publication [page 4]. Never has there been a better time to decide on a career and start your professional training. The UK is investing in projects that require Engineering and Welding Skills. There is a familiar saying about fishing that can be adapted to this, “Teach a person to Weld and they will be able to feed a family for life”. The Welding World Board are
constantly looking at ways to improve
and give the Welding World Membership more information and business opportunities. In 2025, we are holding three Membership Network meetings. On 10 April it will be at Corewire’s impressive facilities in Aldershot. In July, it will be the Midlands region, and in September it will be the Northern region. Further details will be released very soon. Please keep a space in your diary ready to attend. Join in the WWA and if you want
