International students can take advantage of various scholarship programs offered by the Israeli government, higher education institutions and other organizations


Council for Higher Education PhD Sandwich Fellowship Program This program provides funding for up to one year to international PhD students in all fields. studyisrael.org.il


Excellence Fellowship Program for International Postdoctoral Researchers The Council for Higher Education and the Israeli Academy of Sciences and Humanities grant a maximum of 20 two-year fellowships to recent PhD graduates in all fields. academy.ac.il


Zuckerman STEM Leadership Program A collaboration between the Zuckerman Institute and the Council for Higher Education, this program offers postdoctoral grants to North American scholars in STEM fields. zuckerman-scholars.org


Fulbright Program Fulbright promotes student exchange between Israel and the U.S. at the highest academic level. There are fellowship programs open to American


nationals to study and conduct research at master’s, PhD and postdoctorate levels. Faculty and teaching positions are available as well. fulbright.org.il


Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarships These scholarships for postgraduate students range from summer language courses to a full academic year. mfa.gov.il


Erasmus+ An EU program offering short-term mobility grants to students from European universities that have cooperation agreements with Israeli institutions. Mobility grants are also offered to academic and administrative staff. erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu


Masa Israel Grant Offered by Masa Israel Journey, this program offers grants to be used towards an academic program in Israel to Jewish students between the ages of 18 and 30 as well as graduates of a secondary school. masaisrael.org
