At ADHD 360, the patient really is at
the centre of everything. Video confer- encing removes travel time, automa- tion removes admin time, patient notes on tablets are seamlessly converted into GP letters and prescriptions, back office staff provide patient support and are the point of contact for other health professionals, clinicians get maximum time to work with patients and waiting times are reduced as they see around four times more patients than tradi- tional mental health services. Patients have an online portal to make conven- ient appointments; weekend and evening slots are available, care plans can be viewed and helpful videos and other information can be accessed. Patient and family support and advice is provided by ADHD 360’s own dedi- cated patient advocate. Video conferencing is a game changer. However, many patients
are still reluctant to use online tech- nology. Tey choose face-to-face for traditional reasons or a lack of skills, or confidence. ADHD 360 has trained its back office support team not only in processes and systems, but also in the impact and characteristics of ADHD, enabling them to effectively empathise, coach and encourage all patients to use video conferencing. Growth has been rapid, from three
founders diagnosing and treating six patients per week in 2019 to 33 staff caring for 323 new patients a month today; that’s more than 3,000 patients, families, schools and other care profes- sionals each year who no longer endure long waiting lists and the impact of untreated ADHD. Referrals are assessed within 12 to 14 weeks. Families are now understanding ADHD a lot better and have a plan on how to cope with the condition.
