aloma Finesse, located in Side-Titreyengöl on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast, has built

Finesse’s iconic symbol Stones are the most permanent objects on Earth. In many mytholo- gies, stone has signifi ed ‘salvation’ or ‘shelter’, and it has long had an impor- tant place in the diff erent Anatolian cultures of the Turkish heartland. Günnur Özsoy, an artist known for her abstract sculptures, took this idea as her starting point for the sculpture installation she designed for Paloma Finesse. Using organic forms, she created an exquisite work that has become the symbol of the hotel.

¸im Kozanlı, who undertook the


architectural design of Finesse, says, “Horizontal architecture and the way of using light and shadow as part of the design are the most important architectural features in Finesse.” She explains that in this way, they create dynamic spaces and elements, such as trees and sky refl ected in the building, functioning as ‘feel-good facades’.
