McKeever Hotels and Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke Launch Charity Partnership
MCKEEVER Hotels has announced a new charity partnership with Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke (NICHS), pledging to support the charity’s work from October 2025. The family-owned hotel group will
host a series of fundraising activities for its “Charity of the Year” across its six Northern Ireland properties, The Dunadry Hotel and Gardens, Dunsilly Hotel, Corr’s Corner Hotel, Adair Arms, The Lodge Hotel and newly acquired Armagh City Hotel, with colleagues and guests encouraged to get involved. Chosen after a company-wide funds
consultation, raised NICHS deliver vital will help care services,
prevention programmes and support research. The new partnership follows a hugely successful year of fundraising in 2024, during which McKeever Hotels raised over £20,000 for then Charity of the Year partner, the NI Children’s Hospice.

Finn Lough Introduces New Way of Exploring Lough Erne

FERMANAGH- known for its beauty, heritage and famous lakes, will become the home of a new way to travel. Sightseeing through the Lakeland’s will become easier than ever; that’s thanks to local hotelier Micheal Beare, co-owner of Finn Lough, who has confirmed the introduction of a high-speed, long-range Catamaran which will sail the lower Lough Erne. This introduction of the 12 seater will open the world of water travel in this region which currently sees a lack of train and bus travel. When speaking with NI Travel News, Mr Beare explained how he wants the transport to transform the area, making it a more accessible option for all in the county. Hoping to start out as a pilot scheme, Beare wishes to extend the offering to the entirety of the Lough Erne, where locals can mingle with visitors on their daily commute - homing in on the natural warmth the people of NI showcase. Vessev CEO Eric Laakmann has also said the VS–9 was a
natural expansion of Finn Lough’s offering. “The boat’s design and technology is configured to enhance a passenger’s experience of the natural world. “A flight on the VS–9 is smooth, silent, creates very little wake, and produces no on-board emissions. There’s nothing getting between you and that tranquility that guests come to Finn Lough to find,” he added. The VS–9 will arrive at Finn Lough in 2026 with the hope of elevating the offering to both guests and visitors to the area. Beare hopes to join with other local businesses to create experiences for all coming to the region and to get the most out of their stay in Fermanagh. This plays a significant part in Finn Lough’s growth, with the unique hotel aiming to expand its ‘closer to nature’ feel with a host of enhancements set to open in the next number of years.
