Cast Global Waxes to be Featured at Booth 216 in Nashville Exhibit

Cast Global, Booth 216, is a New England-based company with nearly 30 years experience in wax formulation and produc- tion, along with full machining capabilities. Its unique wax for- mulations can be easily machined to tolerances and profiles not normally created with ordinary pattern waxes. In addition, multiple machined wax components can be combined to cre- ate intricate and complicated patterns not possible with traditional injected wax pattern models. Officials indicate this new wax technology and process can

Ford Motor Commissions New Voxeljet Material & System

Voxeljet, Technology GMBH, exhibiting in Booth 108 at

the Investment Casting Institute’s 59th Technical Conference and Expo, recently announced Ford Motor has commissioned a new voxeljet VX800 3D printing system that uses the new Polypor C material system at its AM Center in Dunton near London. The system was selected following an intensive testing and evaluation phase. Ford Application Engineer Trevor Bentley commented,

“Polypor Type C is by far the best material we have ever used with a voxeljet system. The parts we have printed are very im- pressive, and our foundry men are very happy with the burn-off properties of the new material. The cast parts are of the highest quality with a very professional appearance.”

save time and money by reducing or eliminating post casting machining.

In addition to proprietary machined ready-to-cast wax pat- terns, Cast Global partners with leading casters to offer one stop sourcing. This includes ferrous and nonferrous metals. Finally, Cast Global offers traditional precision machined parts manu- facturing.

Synchro ERP Exhibit, Booth 313, to Feature Latest Software Releases

Synchro ERP, exhibiting in Booth 313 in Nashville, will

feature its latest software releases: (1) Stacks and Racks, (2) Molding Box Scheduling, and (3) Family Plates The Stacks & Racks functionality is built into the system for those metal casters who use either Stack Molding or Rack Molding and needs to be turned on in the Yes/No settings before it can be configured and used. It allows for the different calcula- tions of capacity constraints required for this type of production. The Molding Box Schedulings module will allow for the

storage of molding boxes in a register (these can optionally be comprised of one or more sets of frames which would be stored in a separate frame register). These boxes can then be allocat- ed to jobs that require them in the scheduler, which will know when they will be released to be used for other jobs due to the cycle information stored against each box type. Family Plate Phase #1 provides additional functionality

to allow the definition of family patterns/plates in the system. Modifications to the scheduling module to allow for the easy planning of family patterns/plates even where there are no ac- tive orders for some of the products that form part of the family.
