Tech Cast LLC Sold to Daedalus Investments LLC
On October 13, Tech Cast LLC ZOLLERN Investment Casting // EQX & DS / SX Furnace Commissioned
The Zollern Group has successfully commissioned a new combined EQX & DS / SX furnace, as well as the two new preheating furnaces at the headquarters in Laucherthal, Germany.
"An important milestone in the implementation of our new IGT / Aero production line was completed within the planned costs and timeframe. The technical team of engineering, production and quality worked intensively to make the business able to cast the first components in line with our expectations. The new furnace enables us to produce large EQX components (up to 220 kg) as well as DS/SX components (up to 100 kg) for the industrial gas turbine and aerospace markets and add further capacity to our existing 100 kg EQX production," a spokesperson for Zollern has stated.
New Equipment for Blayson Laboratory
At the Blayson Technical Centre, we routinely carry out mechanical testing
of our wax products. The
equipment previously used, the Lloyds LRX, has been in service for numerous years. It has always been maintained and calibrated by Ametek UK. Due to an ongoing policy of updating and improving test equipment to the highest standards, the older machine has been replaced with the current Lloyds model LS1SH. This equipment offers the same standard methods as used previously to test our wax materials but has improved software and operating protocols. The new machine had arrived on

was sold to Daedalus Investments LLC. The company will continue to operate under the Tech Cast name. Tech Cast was previously owned by Spell Capital. Daedalus Investments is wholly owned by the current President and CEO, Steve Olson. “I was brought in to execute a turnaround and when the opportunity to purchase the business presented itself, I knew it was the right opportunity for me.
