In′Tech Industries Celebrates 15 Years in 3D Printing

n’Tech Industries was founded in 1967 in Ramsey, MN (located 25 miles north of Minneapolis) as a tooling and manufacturing company specializing in plastic injection molds. Currently their 64,000 sq. ft. facility houses four centers: Tooling, Engineering, Injection Molding and 3D printing/Rapid Prototyping/Addi- tive Manufacturing, while employing 148 individuals across many disciplines and expertise levels. 2016 marks their 15th year in the 3D printing industry.

I

Capabilities In’Tech offers fi ve 3D printing technol- ogies: Stereolithography (SLA), PolyJet, Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), Di- rect Metal Laser Melting (DMLM) and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS). They pro- duce this within an 8,000 square foot, climate controlled VTM laboratory that is managed by an on-site service technician who maintains all equipment to optimize performance requirements for precision output and part accuracy. Utilizing SLA technology, In’Tech provides printed parts to casting partners

throughout the U.S. and Canada. Utiliz- ing the Accura®

CastPro material, they

produce low volume patterns but also support on-going projects that require higher volumes.

In’Tech has been of-

fering the prototype material for casting purposes since 2007. In’Tech optimizes the performance and capabilities of their numerous 3D Systems iPro 9000 SLA machines which provide a large, 25.5" x 29.5" x 19" platform and also one of the highest SLA build speeds available. This allows them to produce a majority of their parts whole. To meet the strin- gent requirements that the casting indus- try demands, they provide accurate and detailed hand fi nishing by experienced employees. When needed, In’Tech does in-house bonding of parts that exceed the platform size. Engineers and the entire post-processing team take great pride in providing quick, accurate and detailed pieces that have signifi cant end use ca- pabilities and integrity.

Customer Demand In’Tech recently opened up a second fa- cility in Racine, WI to accommodate the growing customer demand in that region and to strategically place the build and fi nishing of SLA parts closer to customers. This facility offers the same capabilities and processing as the Minnesota facility. Throughout the printing process

In’Tech offers experience and expertise. Individuals in leadership roles hold im- pressive amounts of experience within the 3D printing industry.

Their senior

systems engineer has been in the 3D printing engineering role for 20 years, the programming team experience rang- es between 10 to 14 years and their pro- duction supervisor who manages post production and fi nishing has been in the production role for 15 years. In’Tech utilizes an online, instant quoting engine available at www.intechrp.com or emails can be sent to vtm_rfq@intech-ind.com, including fi les.
