Rose Cottage, at the junction of Bullen Lane and Bramford Road, has been identified by Suffolk County Council as a receptor which may require particular measures. The ES does not identify significant impacts at this property, but if required, specific measures to mitigate impacts at Rose Cottage, at the junction of Bullen Lane and Bramford Road, will be identified following discussion with the occupant and the relevant local planning authority.

6.2 Monitoring 81

The Noise and Vibration Management Scheme will set out a procedure for monitoring of the mitigation measures. If it is deemed that during construction monitoring of construction noise is necessary, then the locations for such monitoring will be agreed in advance with the relevant local planning authority. The mitigation measures will be monitored by the Constructor‟s environmental management representative and ECW throughout the construction phase. If a non- conformity with any of the mitigation measures is identified, it will be recorded during a site audit and appropriate remedial actions will be implemented.

Air Quality

7.1 Air Quality Management Plan 82

Chapter 21 of the ES assesses Air Quality for the project. It was identified that prior to

commencement of construction activities agreement on the scope of an Air Quality Management Plan (AQMP) for the cable and converter station construction works should be reached with the relevant local authorities to ensure that the potential for adverse environmental effects on local receptors is reduced to an absolute minimum.

83

An AQMP, incorporating emission control measures outlined in best practice guidance developed by the Greater London Authority (GLA) and London Councils2, will form part of the construction EMP and is likely to include the following:

Requirement for nuisance dust and/or PM10 monitoring at strategic locations

Procedures for monitoring dust complaints and implementing appropriate mitigation measures
