So far as is practicable, all power to temporary lighting shall be taken from mains supplies rather than from portable generators. Where portable generators are used, industry best practice will be followed to minimise noise and pollution from such generators.

3.8 59 Reinstatement

Restoration of land is controlled under Requirement 34, Schedule A, Part 3 of the draft DCO. Any land used temporarily for construction of the connection works and not ultimately incorporated in permanent works or approved landscaping, is to be reinstated to its former condition, or such condition as the relevant planning authority may approve, in consultation with the local highway authority where relevant, as soon as reasonably practical and within twelve months of completion of the connection works.

4 60 Traffic and Transport Management

During the construction phase for onshore aspects of the development, there will be traffic movements within the site boundary in addition to associated traffic movements on the local road network, including heavy goods vehicles. Chapter 27 of the ES and the Post-Submission Report 1 and Supplementary Environmental Information Report present detail on the construction traffic and transport associated with the project.

Requirement 32 of the DCO requires the production of three key traffic related management documents:

Traffic Management Plan Access Management Plan Travel Plan

62 63

These documents will not form part of the Code of Construction Practice, but a brief summary of their function and proposed content is given below for information.

The Traffic Management Plan must accord with the Outline Traffic Management Plan (the latter is a Certified Document under Article 33 of the DCO). It will control the numbers, types and timings of vehicles on parts of the highway network to the parameters assessed within the ES and Supplementary Environmental Information, unless otherwise agreed.
